Rick is one of the founding partners of Pacific Growth Equities and currently serves as the Executive Chairman and is a member of the Firm's Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He has over 30 years of experience in the securities industry, primarily working with growth companies. Rick was also one of the founders of Volpe, Welty & Company, where his responsibilities included managing sales and trading. Prior to that he held senior positions with Montgomery Securities and Smith Barney Harris Upham. Rick received his BS from the University of the South.

Tom serves as Co-Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the Firm's Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Tom joined Pacific Growth in 1993 as the Senior Biotechnology/ Biopharmaceutical Analyst and served as the Firm's Director of Research until June 2004. Prior to joining Pacific Growth, Tom was a Research Faculty member at U.C. San Francisco, and his research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation and NASA. Tom was a Postdoctoral Fellow, National Science Foundation and received his Ph.D.in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Washington University and his BS from State University of New York, Albany.

Steve is one of the founding partners of Pacific Growth Equities and serves as Co-Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the Firm's Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He was also one of the founders of Volpe, Welty & Company. While at Volpe he ran the trading side of the business and was a member of the Operating Committee. Prior to that he held senior positions in trading at Montgomery Securities and Dean Witter, Reynolds. Steve received his MBA in Finance and BA in Accounting from Golden Gate University.

George serves as Head of Investment banking and is Chair of the firm's Commitment Committee. He joined Pacific Growth Equities in 1997 as a Managing Director in investment banking working with emerging growth companies, primarily in healthcare and technology. Previously, he was an investment banker with Robertson, Stephens & Company, where he focused on emerging growth technology investment banking. George began his banking career with Pacific Growth Equities in 1993. He received his J.D. from the University of Arizona and his BS in Biology from the University of Southern California.

John, currently a Vice Chairman for the Firm, joined Pacific Growth in 1996 as head of Sales from Morgan Stanley & Company where he spent 16 years in institutional sales and was the senior sales representative on the West Coast. Prior to his career at Morgan, John was with Wells Fargo Investment Advisors. John received his MBA from the University of California, Berkeley and his BA from Whitman College.

Rob Katz has been with Pacific Growth Equities since its inception in 1991 and is currently the Head of Trading. Prior to Pacific Growth, Rob was a trader at Volpe Covington Welty and at Montgomery Securities. Rob graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a BA in History.

Ben Perkins is a Managing Director in the Life Sciences group at Pacific Growth Equities and serves on the Firm's Committment Committee. Ben has been actively involved in the Life Sciences sector for more than 10 years working on both the buy-side and the sell-side. Since joining Pacific Growth in 1999, Ben has advised clients in raising more than $4 billion dollars through public and private equity transactions. In addition to fundraising, Ben has served as a strategic advisor to clients in the medical device, biotech, specialty pharmaceutical and diagnostics/ tools sectors. Prior to Pacific Growth Equities, Ben focused on medical device, healthcare service and healthcare software/ internet companies at Advest Group.

K.C. Stone joined Pacific Growth Equities in January 1999 as Managing Director for Private Equities and Venture Capital Services. His responsibilities include managing the private placement process & institutional private equity sales. In addition, K.C. coordinates all corporate services and domestic & international venture capital restricted stock sales. Prior to joining the firm, K.C. ran venture capital services at Volpe Brown Whelan & Company. K.C. has also worked in private industry where he founded, developed and sold two companies. K.C. holds a B.A. in finance from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Tim joined Pacific Growth Equities in 2006 with almost 20 years of investment experience analyzing and investing in the biotechnology industry and currently serves on the Firm's Executive and Commitment Committees. Most recently, Tim was a Senior Partner with Atlas Ventures in its London office responsible for making biotechnology venture capital investments. Previously with Bear Stearns, Tim was a Senior Managing Director responsible for equity research of the global biotechnology and European healthcare sectors. He has also served as a Managing Director covering the biotechnology sector on both sides of the Atlantic with SG Cowen, UBS Securities and Hambrecht & Quist. Tim began his career as an investment advisor with Rothschild Asset Management focused on the biotechnology industry. Tim received his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Cambridge University and a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from Imperial College, London.
